Which track will you choose?
On the Theater Track, we will improve our acting skill set by playing theater games, along with different activities to help improve projection, character roles, blocking and stage awareness. We will engage in improv as well as scripted activities. There will be skits to share with our fellow campers and interaction with our Instrumental Music Track pit band and Visual Arts Track set builders. You’ll love our culmination performance on Sunday Morning.
We will express ourselves through a variety of media as we create individual and group art projects. We will explore the history of functional art and create artwork to use and display. We will enjoy working with the Theater Trackers on props and sets for the theater production. We will develop a gallery to display our accomplishments and will host an “Open Gallery Tour” on Sunday morning for everyone to enjoy.
All instrumentalists will participate in a Performance Band. We will improve our skills in reading, pitch, balance, dynamics, rhythm, articulation, following the conductor and interpretation. This is what makes the difference between just playing what’s on our stand and really making music. We’ll explore a variety of genres and play some really cool music.
